Living Without Limits
Updated: Mar 26, 2022
The Bible tells us that we can be limitless - but exactly how can we achieve living without limits?
To live limitless means that we are living with nothing holding us back - or limiting us. There are plenty of things that can limit us in this life. Fear. Anxiety. Depression. Addiction. Rejection. The judgment from others. The list goes on, but all of these things can and will limit us. We're too afraid to step into our calling because of what other people might think or even because of what we think. All too often we're worried about all of these deciding factors to even remember who is in control of our lives and everything in this world - Jesus!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13
This probably seems like one of the most cliché, most used Bible verses in Christianity - but it is a reminder that we can do everything through Christ. He gives us the strength to face whatever we are facing and to do whatever He has called us to do. We should not be afraid of what may lie ahead, rather we should pray that God blesses us and keeps us throughout our journey in this life. Life can get scary - it can seem like there is no hope, but I promise you He is always with us!
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
The Bible gives us reminders like the verse above time and time again that we don't need to fear or worry because God is here for us and He will always help us. It's just as easy as praying to God and you will instantly feel at peace. Did you know that the Bible reminds us 365 times to "fear not"? I saw this fact somewhere on the internet one day - it's like a daily reminder for us to not fear whatever is coming our way. I always try to remind myself that God is with me and completely in control of my situation when I feel worried or afraid. I admit sitting here writing about living without limits is much easier than actually living without limits. There will always be times that you're worried, questioning, or just plain uncomfortable with your situation and that's okay. As long as you can give it all to God everything will be just fine. I've had my share of questions and worries throughout my journey, and sometimes I still do. I'm working my best to remember that God is in control and that he can help me be limitless.
So here's to letting go and letting God - living limitless! When you feel as if you have been limited by something in this life, remember who is in control. Live fiercely. Live joyfully. Live purposefully. Live limitless.
